Jackson Police recognize National Public Safety Telecommunications Week

This week Jackson Police salute the men and women of our Communication Staff as communities across the U.S.  recognize those who help save lives in times of personal or national crisis during National Public Safety Telecommunications Week , April 14–20, 2013.

During this week we want to take the  opportunity to thank our 9-1-1 Telecommunication Officers, technicians who maintain radio and emergency phone systems,  supervisors and managers,  and other telecommunications staff across the country who work hard every day to protect our communities. This week is a way for us to recognize public safety telecommunicators for performing mission critical tasks behind the scenes to support police, fire and emergency medical personnel.
